I want people to take me seriously: Avinash Sachdev
Says TV actor Avinash Sachdev; adds that he will not do a reality show only for money.
In the recent past, Avinash Sachdev has worked on the second seasons of several TV shows. After doing season 2 of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and season 4 of Qubool Hai, the actor is now playing the role of a doctor in the second season of another TV show. “I think the makers remember me only when they are making a sequel. I feel it is a bigger challenge to act in them,” says the TV actor. Avinash says all the content on Indian television is driven by competition.
“I think, in today’s day and age, it is easier to make a hit film than it is to make a successful TV show. This is because, in the television industry, there is too much competition, with so many shows, channels, etc. Prime time now begins at 6.30pm as opposed to 9pm,” says the actor.

Avinash is often perceived to be a brooding personality, as he has played intense characters in many shows. But that doesn’t bother him. “People think I’m serious because that is the impression I wanted to give them professionally. I want people to take me seriously,” he adds.
The actor feels the audience doesn’t know who he really is because he hasn’t done any reality shows. “I don’t want to do a reality show just for the money. There are actors who are dying to be on some or the other dance or controversial reality show. But I can’t do that,” adds Avinash.
