Shradha Kapoor still discusses film projects with father Shakti Kapoor
Shradha Kapoor says she still discusses film projects with her father, Shakti Kapoor, and maternal aunt Padmini Kolhapure.
When you belong to a family that consists of senior actors like Shakti Kapoor (father) and Padmini Kolhapure (maternal aunt), you have reasons to be proud. Perhaps that’s why despite having made a mark in Bollywood, Shraddha Kapoor still discusses her projects with her family members.
“We talk about which film I should take up or which script I should choose. I also like to know what they (her family members) think of my work. After all, my dad has so much knowledge. But they always say, ‘Make your own decisions, because you have to do that film for months. You have to be happy while working on it’,” says Shraddha.

The actor says “a film is your life when you work on it”. She adds, “For instance, while shooting for the Rock On!! (2008) sequel, I would wake up at 3.30am [to start shooting in time]. That’s why you have to love the movie you do, as you have to put your blood and sweat into it. So, my parents always tell me, ‘Do the film that you will go all out for’.”
So, is there a particular kind of movie — commercial or art-house — that Shraddha would want to take up? “I think the lines are blurring a bit now. I want to do all kinds of films. I would like to do movies that make me think, ‘People will enjoy such a film’,” she says.
