There’s a sense of serenity inherent not only in the ace fashion designer’s demeanor, but also in his personal sense of style. While he wanted to pick pristine white from his collection for the shoot, we convinced him to go for a chequered blue suit which he carried off with effortless élan. He stands a class apart.

The Member of Parliament and BCCI honcho stands a class apart when it comes to style. Not only does he own a wardrobe that is an eclectic mix of crisp suits and ethnicwear, he is also a fashion champion when it comes to the little details. From pocket squares and on-trend jodhpuris to tan Derby shoes — his style exudes confidence.

The dynamic CEO of Prasar Bharati piloted the revival of Bengal’s indigenous Kantha embroidery in the 1980s and has been wearing them since then, with pride. For our shoot too, he showcased one such beauty, that represented his love for hand-crafted textiles and indigenous craft.

Aditya Ghosh

When it comes to boardroom-perfect style, one thinks of classy fish-mouth collars, designer tuxedos and crisp pinstriped shirts. President, IndiGo, Aditya Ghosh knows how to ace this very signature style, turning up in the best of formal chic. Well, you can also catch him off-duty in casual tees and a pair of denims — now that’s a style all-rounder.

Madhur Verma

Men in uniform have an inevitable charm that is hard to dismiss. Couple it with style that is also unmatched, and you have a winning combination at hand. Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner, Delhi Police, is a great example of doing fashion which is comfortable and yet statement-making. From bandhgala jackets and crisp suits to everyday oxford shirts — Verma is spiffy to a T. And, the cop is also quite popular on Twitter, with his fan following running into thousands.

Kunal Kapoor

The actor’s style is understated yet experimental. From being a casual style caper in tees and easy-fit denims to mixing it up with classic suits when the occasion calls for it — Kapoor always turns out spiffy. While he’s no novice to fashion, having walked down the runway for many designers, we love how his style is unassuming and classic.

The Most Stylish Women 2016

Meet the jury:

When you have to choose only a few names from an exhaustive list of nominations, you need a jury that doesn’t only understand style, but also possesses a lot of patience! This time around, our panel had FDCI President Sunil Sethi, noted designers Ritu Beri and Varun Bahl, VP Christian Dior Kalyani Chawla, Managing Editor CNBC-TV18 Shereen Bhan, and Sonal Kalra, National Editor — Entertainment & Lifestyle, Hindustan Times. Apart from all the note-taking and debates at the jury meeting, what couldn’t be missed was a stylish dose of fun and some smile-high candid clicks to raise a toast to the sixth edition of Hindustan Times Most Stylish.

Shereen Bhan: Style is not only about fashion. It’s also about integrity, confidence, achievement and the kind of change these people have been able to bring about. We looked at our winners from that lense.

Sunil Sethi: If they’ve got the style and they have the right attitude, the entire city comes together to celebrate it, and that’s what we do with our winners. These awards have become a landmark of sorts

Ritu Beri:While being a winner in the past was a great experience, now being on the judging panel just goes to show the evolution and growth of the event in itself. HT’s Most Stylish is really close to my heart

Kalyani Chawla: The awards bring together people from all walks of life. It’s not about looks, it’s about that dimension of edginess inherent in these winners. I am so proud to on the jury

Varun Bahl: It wasn’t easy to choose the final winners, because each of the nominee had a unique sense of style. But, I am happy that we managed to choose the best ones by the end of it all
