2 Hisar women crack Civil Services exam

Expressing her happiness, Saroj, her mother, says, “Every mother should understand the importance of a daughter. And everyone should feel proud of daughters.” Ankur says, “I am currently working under a central health scheme. I completed my MBBS and decided to take the Civil Services exam. I wanted to serve the country by being a good officer. I am happy with my ranking in my first attempt.”
Karan Singh Lathar, her father, who is a vet and resident of Sector 9-11, says, “It is a proud moment for the family as my daughter has secured a good rank. We are happy and I am sure she will make a good officer.”
Another Hisar woman, Anshu Yadav, cleared the exam for the second time and improved her ranking to 346. Anshu, who had got rank 947 in the 2014 Civil Services exam and landed a job with the railways was undergoing training in Gujarat.
AS Yadav, her father, who is a resident of PLA area, told HT, “She tried her luck again and we are happy that she got a good rank this time.”
Yadav said her daughter who had done her MBBS passed the Haryana Civil Services written examination in 2009 but she did not clear the interview stage. She then decided to take the Civil Services exam. “When she was preparing for this, her mother was diagnosed with cancer, but she didn’t want to let her daughter know about this and refused to have surgery,” he said. “In 2014, my wife passed away but Anshu cleared the exam and got a job in the railways. She decided to improve her ranking and took the exam again,” he added.
