Fresh anti-Pakistan protests in Pathankot
Fresh anti-Pakistan protests broke out in the town on Sunday with locals burning an effigy depicting Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Protesters raised anti-Pakistan slogans close to the air force station and also set Pakistani flags on fire. Locals said they had been living in panic since the protest started.

“We continue to live in fear as the situation is still not clear. The government should throw some light so that we can get on with our daily lives,” said Jarnail Singh, a local resident.
Rani, another local resident, claimed that her children were panic-stricken due to the sounds of gunfire and blasts. “Normally, during school winter vacations, I do not see my two children, aged 11 and seven for hours as they remain busy playing outside the house. Now, they are scared to move out of the house.”
