External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has said that the government will leave no stone unturned in the effort to locate and secure the release of Regi Joseph, a techie from Kerala believed to have been abducted by militants in Libya.

The 43-year-old was abducted from his workplace at Souk al Jumaa near Libya’s capital ,Tripoli, on March 31.
“Regi Joseph - an Indian national from Kerala was abducted in Libya few days back. We are making all efforts to secure his release,” Swaraj tweeted.
Regi’s wife Shinuja, a nurse at the Tripoli-based TMC Hospital, had earlier sought the Indian embassy’s help in this matter. The couple have three daughters.
Last month, a Malayali nurse and her infant son were killed in a shelling attack in Libya. The incident reportedly occurred when a shell landed in their apartment complex.
