The committee – headed by state museum (Lucknow) director Dr Ajay Pandey – reopened nine boxes of the baba’s belongings kept in the Faizabad treasury. The museum where the items would be displayed – called the Ram Katha Sangrahalaya – is being constructed in Ayodhya by the Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad.

The identification process was launched on Wednesday under the supervision of additional district magistrate (city) RN Sharma, deputy collector Brij Kishor Dubey, chief treasury officer Rajesh Pandey, administrative officer Satwant Singh Sethi, and local BJP leader Shakti Singh.
