Finally it happens! Spice Girls record new song
The rock band of the ’90s recorded their first song after a gap of 16 years in London recently. However missing from action were Mel C and Victoria Beckham.
Spice Girls, the all-girls band of the ‘90s, has reunited to record their first song in 16 years. Singers Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton came together for a secret music session at the Deep Play Studios in London this week, to work on new material for the first time in almost two decades. But the other bandmates, Mel C and Victoria Beckham were absent, reports dailymirror.co.uk.
The Spice Girls’ former producer Eliot Kennedy took to Twitter and posted: “Now that was a day for the history books. Like 20 years had never happened. Proper friendship! Hit Song.” Mel B also shared an image of the group on Instagram and wrote: “And I say oohhhh LALA (sic).”

“It’s funny, because back in the day people thought we had everything written for us but we’ve always written all our own songs. That’s why we’ve won Ivor Novello awards and all sorts. Everything always comes from us, and to do something for our 20-year anniversary is the ultimate dream,” she said.
A new single and album are expected to be released later in 2016.
