Indian Idol Junior Ananya releases her debut single, Mausam Mastana
Ananya’s rendition is a combination of Bollywood and urban pop with a touch of reggae music in it.
Ananya Sritam Nanda, the winner of Indian Idol Junior 2, has released her debut independent single Mausam Mastana, a recreation of veteran playback singer Asha Bhonsle’s classic.
The song is a rendition of the 1982 track, co-sung by Dilraj Kaur from megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Satte Pe Satta.
Ananya’s rendition is a combination of Bollywood and urban pop with a touch of reggae music in it.
“This is all part of the dream that started with the Indian Idol Junior audition and it still doesn’t seem real.
“I feel really honoured to be singing a song that has been made popular by none other than Ashaji and I hope she feels proud of me when she hears the song,” the 13-year-old said in a statement.
Reggae/ dancehall artist Jusa Dementor has rapped while DJ Aks, who has produced remixes like Tu Jaane Na and Pehli Nazar Mein, is the additional composer as well as the lyricist of the song, available on Universal Music.
