CBSE Class 12 results: No surprise as Bathinda girls surpass boys

Just like the rest of the country, girls in Bathinda too outperformed boys in class 12 CBSE results declared on Saturday. Pass percentage and marks achieved by girls are much higher than boys. Many girls bagged top positions in humanities, science and commerce streams.

In most of the schools of the district under Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), only few boys got more than 90% marks, but mostly girls succeeded to achieve the aggregate of 90% and more.

Looking at the figure school wise, as many as 55 students of St. Xavier’s convent school got more than 90% marks. A girl, Gunsimran topped the school with 96.8% in humanities followed by Abhinav Jindal (96.4%) marks in the same stream.

In DAV public senior secondary school, as many as 21 students secured more than 90% marks. Commerce girls Simran and Nitika shared first position in the school with both achieving 96%, followed by Prabhjapan Kaur of humanities with 95.4%.

Six students of Sant Fateh Singh Convent School scored more than 95% in the examination. Anchal topped the school with 96.4%, followed by Isha Singla with 96%.

From Saint Joseph Convent School, two girls Mehak and Muskan from non-medical stream topped the school by attaining 96.4%. They were followed by Sagrika Goyal from commerce stream with 95.8% and Ekamjeet Singh Sidhu of medical stream who scored 95.6%.

Sehajpreet Kaur of commerce stream topped in her school, Saint Kabir Convent Senior Secondary School, with 94.2% marks followed by Arpita Mittal of medical and Noorswapan Malhi of non-medical streams, both scoring 93.4% in aggregate.

In Sudesh Vatika Convent School, Robin Kumar of medical stream topped with 95.60% followed by Aayush goyal of non-medical stream with 94.60%. Similarly, Pooja gupta (non-medical) of Lord Rama Public School topped with 91% whereas Happy Jindal from commerce secured 90.6% and stood second in the school. As many as four students of the school secured more than 90% in aggregate.

From Delhi Public School in Bathinda, five students scored more than 90% marks. Parika (commerce) topped the school with 94% followed by Amanveer Kaur of humanities with 93.2%. In Guru Harkrishan Public School, only one student, Jasjit Kaur (92.6%) got more than 90% in science stream.
