Eleven mobile phones, seven mobile SIM cards, three mobile chargers, one syringe and silver wrappers used for consuming heroin were recovered from the jail, said a spokesperson.

A case has been registered against two inmates: Satnam Sing of Bath Kalan, Patiala, and Rajan Kumar of Mohalla Abaadpura, Jalandhar, he said.

SSP Rajinder Singh said investigations are on to find how the prohibited items reached the jail, and suitable action will be taken against the guilty.

He said no drugs were found during the operation that ended at 10am.
