He said after living in the Mohammad Arif market in Mumbai with Yohan for one month, he moved to Delhi where he met Kingsly and Iffai who was living at Om Vihar in Delhi.

Then, he was introduced to a person named Okey, also known as Lucky, who runs drug business in Delhi and various districts of Punjab.

Following his directives, he shifted to Jalandhar and came into contact of Manveeer Singh Cheema of Jawahar Nagar in Adampur and Remend, who were carrying out Okey’s business here. Then, he started living at Panchsheel Colony from where he was arrested with Okoh Precious, 20, on June 14 with 4kg heroin. He revealed that Okey lives near Gandhi Chowk in Delhi and he used to supply drug to him and Cheema before his arrest on May 15.

The Nigerian also revealed that after Cheema’s arrest, Remend was delivering drug to him and Okoh near the bus stand.

Both were also taken to the joint interrogation centre in Amritsar for quizzing during their four-day custody.

A separate team had also gone to Delhi for three days but returned empty-handed as Delhi-based accomplices, including Okey, had gone underground and switched off their phones.

On Wednesday, the police also brought a drug peddler Manveer Singh Cheema from Kapurthala jail on production warrant after his links with the Nigerians were exposed.

Cheema, along with Nigerian nationals, was produced in the local court and sent to one-day police custody. Later they were taken to CIA staff by the cops for questioning. They would be produced in the court on Thursday.

Cheema, a resident of Jawahar Nagar in Adampur, was arrested by police station-7 on May 15, when cops recovered 115gm intoxicant powder from his possession after he was stopped during a checking point at Punjab Avenue.

He had tried to run away from the spot on the bike (PB08DC-2061) but he slipped on the road and later nabbed. He was booked under section 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act.
