Majithia targets AAP, terms it gang of power-hungry people
Punjab revenue and public relations minister Bikram Singh Majithia said the SAD-BJP alliance was all set to make a hat-trick in the state by winning the 2017 assembly elections.
Punjab revenue and public relations minister Bikram Singh Majithia said the SAD-BJP alliance was all set to make a hat-trick in the state by winning the 2017 assembly elections.
In the city to launch a revenue app, Majithia attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and said the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi was misusing public funds for the party’s promotional advertisements in Punjab. He also described the party as a “gang of power hungry people”. He said instead of misusing public funds, the AAP should spend the same for providing basic facilities of power and water as the residents of Delhi.
Replying to a query on Congress protest in Ludhiana on Friday, Majithia said the opposition was holding such baseless protests to save its political existence as it was losing ground in the state. He said the Congress had already been rejected twice by Punjab voters and would meet the same fate in the upcoming assembly polls, claiming that there was not anti-incumbency against the Akali-BJP government.
