Malaysia calling for Sharad Kelkar
Kelkar is set to interact with his fans in Kuala Lumpur; says there is a huge audience for Indian TV shows in the South Asian country
Television actor Sharad Kelkar has a huge fan following in Malaysia. Many of his previous TV shows — like Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, and Bairi Piya — have aired there. Even some of his Bollywood films, including Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela (2013), have released in Malaysia. Now, the actor’s latest show, a fictional crime series, is set to be telecast in the South Asian country.
Before that happens, the actor will head to Kuala Lumpur on June 1 to meet his fans and interact with them. “Many of the actor’s fans have been writing to the channel, asking them when Sharad is expected to come to Malaysia. Since his new show will go on air in Malaysia by the end of June, they decided to fly him down for three days to interact with his fans,” says a source close to the actor.

Sharad confirmed the news, and said, “It is always great to meet your viewers, especially those who live abroad, to get a direct response from them. And Malaysia is a big market, because there is a huge audience for Indian TV shows there. Plus, I have never been to Malaysia, so I am definitely excited about this trip.”
