Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding as per Sindhi rituals took place on Thursday, a day after they were married in a traditional Konkani ceremony in Italy’s Lake Como. Deepika and Ranveer have now shared their first official wedding photos.
Ranveer and his baraat arrived in boats, dancing to Bollywood songs. The male members of the family were seen in red pagdis while the female relatives wore red and pink outfits.
The power couple tied the knot at the stunning Villa del Balbianello overlooking Lake Como in Northern Italy. A video taken from the nearby lake was shared online later. The video showed the couple and their close friends and family on a balcony at the villa. Also spotted were Deepika and Ranveer’s parents.

One of the pictures shared by the couple shows the engagement ring on Deepika’s finger. It’s a giant, colourless diamond with a thick band.
Priyanka Chopra called the pictures ‘insanely beautiful’ and ‘stunning’ in her comments on Deepika and Ranveer’s posts. She is also set to get married next month to singer Nick Jonas.
Ranveer’s stylist Nitasha Gaurav shared the newlyweds’ picture on Instagram and revealed what Ranveer’s father said about Deepika: “Ye dewani toh Bhavnani ho gai,” a reference to their hit song Deewani Mastani from Bajirao Mastani and his surname, Bhavnani.
“Wishing you both a world of happiness and a beautiful journey together. May the love & respect you have in each other, grow leaps and bounds. And welcome to the club,” she wrote in her tweet.
Alia Bhatt shared her wishes for Deepika and Ranveer on her Instagram stories. She called them stunners and congratulated them on their wedding.
“Love and happiness forever.....these are such a full of pyaar wala pictures! For those of us who don’t have a life partner it’s a very “haiiiiiiiii” wala feeling!,” Karan wrote in a tweet.

To ensure they were not photographed at the wedding venue, they were surrounded by black umbrellas as they took the boat and headed to Casta Diva resort, where they are staying, from the wedding venue.
As per reports, the newlyweds will host two wedding receptions in Mumbai and one in Bengaluru. While the reception in Bengaluru will take place on November 21, the Mumbai events will take place on November 28 and December 1.

As they departed the wedding venue on Wednesday for their hotel, Deepika and Ranveer were chased on boats by the paparazzi. Small powerboats manned by beefy security guards circled the smaller boat filled with journalists in order to unsettle and potentially tip them over.
