Chris Gayle set the record for the fastest batsman to reach 4000 runs in the IPL in the match against Rajasthan Royals.

Chris Gayle became the fastest to reach 4000 IPL runs after he tucked the ball to mid-off in the match against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Monday. He went past David Warner by achieving the feat in 112 innings. Warner had reached 4000 runs in 114 innings. Gayle was just six runs away from 4000 runs before this match.

The West Indian is the ninth batsman to reach the feat after Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni and David Warner.
