UPPSC exam calendar for 2nd half of 2019 out, state PCS prelims 2019 on Oct 20

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the schedule of eight recruitment examinations to be conducted between June and December 2019.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the schedule of eight recruitment examinations to be conducted between June and December 2019.As per this calendar, PCS (Preliminary) 2019 will be held on October 20 and Combined State Engineering Services Exam 2019 will be held on December 22, 2019.

The preliminary examination of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer will be conducted along with PCS (Preliminary) Exam. ACF/Range Forest Officer (Mains) will be held from November 13.

Earlier on December 22, 2018, the Commission had released the examination calendar for the first half of the year. Ten exams had to be conducted in the first half of the year, out of which four were conducted between January 30 and March 17. The four exams conducted in this period were PCS (J) (Mains)-2018, RO/ARO (Mains)-2017, Assistant Registrar Exams-2018 and Dental Surgeon (screening) Exam 2018.

However, four recruitment exams listed in the earlier calendar could not be conducted on the scheduled dates and so they have been included in the newly released calendar.

Out of them, two examinations are for the recruitment of programmer, third is that of the Lecturer Screening Examination 2017 while the fourth is Computer Knowledge test for Additional Personal Secretary Examination 2013.

Two of the remaining recruitment exams listed in the calendar of the first half of the year, including APO (Assistant Prosecutor Officer (Preliminary) is scheduled to be held on June 9 and PCS (Main)-2018 examination,which is scheduled to be be held from June 17.

“The Computer Operator Grade-B and Programmer Grade-1 exams will be held on July 7 and July 14, respectively. Lecturer of Government Degree College (screening) Exams-2017 will be conducted on July 28 for the vacancies of lecturers across the state. It will be followed by programmer Grade-2 exam on August 25,” said UPPSC secretary Jagdish.

Meanwhile, UPPSC has rejected the demand for postponing the PCS-2018 (Mains) by a month. The aspirants had requested the Commission to give them at least three months for preparation as the main exam due to a change in pattern and syllabus.

The PCS Mains 2018 is scheduled to begin on June 17. UPPSC secretary Jagdish said postponing the examination would affect the schedule of other examinations conducted by the commission.
