The accused have been identified as Jallu, 28, and Amjad,30 — both Nuh natives. Jallu was involved in 28 cases and Amjad in around 30 cases, said Naveen, in-charge of Sector 31 unit of the crime investigation agency (CIA).
Two members of the Advani gang allegedly involved in about 58 criminal cases, including attempt to murder, robbery and snatching, have been arrested in two separate cases, the police said on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Jallu, 28, and Amjad,30 — both Nuh natives. Jallu was involved in 28 cases and Amjad in around 30 cases, said Naveen, in-charge of Sector 31 unit of the crime investigation agency (CIA).
Amjad carried a reward of ₹50,000 on his arrest and was wanted for firing at police teams, in two instances, when they tried to arrest him in 2017 in Nuh.
In May 2018, a case was registered after an ATM machine was stolen from a booth in Sector 53 and he was arrested on Monday near the city court in connection with that case, the police said. The accused has been sent to three-day police custody.
“Jallu was arrested from Pataudi on Tuesday and accepted of having committed crimes in Delhi, Nuh, Palwal and Maharashtra,” Naveen said.
In July 2017, he had allegedly robbed a truck after tying up the driver and the helper. “Both the accused were arrested while we were trying to nab Advani, who is the gang leader. We are hopeful that he will be arrested soon,” the police official said.
