Karnataka Chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, facing a threat to his government following the resignation of 12 MLAs, is believed to have met dissenting Congress legislator MLA Ramalinga Reddy on Monday. Congress’ lead troubleshooter and Karnataka minister DK Shivakumar has rushed to Mumbai to meet the rebel MLAs. The recent minister to resign from the council of ministers is R Shankar, who also extended his support to the BJP.According to sources, the meeting took place at an undisclosed location in Bengaluru, reports ANI.On Saturday, nine Congress and three JD(S) MLAs had submitted their resignations to the Speaker’s office and then held a meeting with Governor Vajubhai Vala before the nine of them left for Mumbai by a special flight.Catch all the highlights here:

Asserting that BJP has no involvement in the political crisis of Karnataka, Ram Madhav said that the current situation is due to infighting in the Congress-JD(S) coalition government, reports news agency ANI.
“’Ulta chor kotwal ko dante’. (it is a case of thief accusing the policeman). Whatever is happening in the Karnataka is happening because of the ambitions of certain leaders of their own party. There are leaders who are engineering dissent in their party. BJP has no involvement. We are just watching,” he said when asked about the Congress blaming BJP for the political crisis in the state.

Two senior Karnataka Congress leaders - DK Shivakumar and KC Venugopal - on Monday expressed confidence and asserted that all issues in the troubled coalition with JD(S) will be sorted out, reports ANI.
They also blamed the BJP for destabilising the government.
“We can’t speak. It was all indoor meeting,” DK Shivakumar told reporters after a meeting of party leaders at the residence of state deputy CM G Parameshwara in Bengaluru when asked about the meeting of party leaders and some legislators.
“I know what my BJP friends are doing. They are not only looking at my movements but also various other friends,” he said.
He assured, “There is nothing to worry as we all are friends and they will be convinced. There are also small issues and will sort it out.”
Karnataka Congress in-charge KC Venugopal said, “Let us see. We will have confidence. I am confident always.”
