Javadekar said Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati is silent despite such a big crime against a Dalit has taken place and she is still extending support to the Congress.

“The entire country is disturbed with this rape incident and people want to know why this case was kept under cover for so many days,” he said.

Javadekar said it is not possible that this incident has not been brought to the knowledge of the home department by the Alwar superintendent of police. “Gehlot holds the portfolio of home, then why this was suppressed for so many days and on whose orders, which the country wants to know.” He said Gehlot in this incident spoke on Monday, but did not say anything why this incident was suppressed for six days. On the name of action against police personnel, all were transferred and a police personnel was suspended. “This is a crime and Gehlot should resign,” he said.

“People have already given their reply to this incident in democratic manner in sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls on Sunday and will also give in seventh phase of polls on May 19.”

Javadekar said students of class VII are studying that Rana Pratap won Haldighati battle, while students of class X are studying that the battle remained indecisive and class XII students are studying that Maharana Pratap lost the battle to Akbar. He questioned why this change? He said Congress government has removed Veer before Savarkar in textbooks. he said, “This shows their imagination about history. Congress believes in ‘Ek Khandaan ka bakhaan, deshbhakt ka apmaan, Rana Pratap se akbar mahaan’ (glorifying one family, humiliating patriots, Akbar is greater than Rana Pratap)”

Javadekar said Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has again justified his ‘Neech Aadmi’ against PM Narendra Modi and this show his arrogance. He said, “Modi has come from a poor family and says that his caste is poverty. He has been in PM for five years and will remain PM for another five years. The opposition is frustrated on its defeat and is abusing Modi.”
