Vijay’s upcoming film Sarkar -- directed by AR Murugadoss -- had raised expectations among fans with the first look poster that was revealed on the eve of the actor’s birthday. Now, the makers have released the working stills from the sets of the upcoming film, which has given an insight into not just the actor’s character in the film, but also the role he plays in his third collaboration with Murugadoss.

In one of the stills, AR Murugadoss is seen discussing a scene with actor Vijay and comedian Yogi Babu. The scene is set in a housing board flat complex and there is a huge crowd that surrounds Vijay in the scene. The actor is seen standing in a suit in this scene.

Another still features a close shot of Vijay who sports a style similar to the one in his film, Pokkiri. The actor, along with the director, is watching a scene play out on a screen with a smile on the face.

The first of the stills to be revealed was quite different and the director and actor seemed to be working on a scene in a traditional bungalow. Here again, Vijay is seen in clothes that are casual and different from the first look that was earlier released.

The makers also announced that the music of the film will be launched on October 2 and the film is expected to release for Diwali 2018. Vijay’s Sarkar will be clashing at the box office with Suriya starrer NGK, directed by Selvaraghavan.
