8 secrets partners like to hide. You’re better off not knowing them
Threesomes, sexually transmitted diseases which are now cured and how many people you slept with are facts which are best kept secret.
Honesty and trust is what we all want in relationships, but reality is not always what we dream of. And maybe, that’s good in a certain way. There are some things which you should hide from your partner and similarly, there are certain things which your partner would be keeping from you.
In fact, if you’re in a happy and fulfilling relationship, you can be sure that your partner is hiding these 8 secrets from you.
1. What’s your count?
Let’s just skip this topic with the partner, OK? Some facts which are great conversation starters with friends could turn out well when discussed with the boyfriend/girlfriend. Like, how many people you’ve slept with. Sanjay Dutt may have gotten off easy with the 308 women in his life, but you may not be so lucky.
Your husband telling you he engaged in a threesome in college can be an exciting fact. However, if he still finds that an enjoyable activity, you guys are certainly headed for trouble.
3. Not fond of your parents
If you don’t like your monster-in-law, I beg your pardon, your mother-in-law, keep it to yourself. It’s better to keep certain things from your wife than to have her running after you with a shotgun.

4. Weighty issues
Wife: “Honey, how do I look?”
Husband: “Well you certainly have put on some weight.”
Wrong answer! You might feel that you’re being honest, but your ‘honesty’ might not be taken well by her and she might feel that you’re just being rude and things could snowball into a mud slinging match pretty soon. Trust me, I’ve been there.
5. Their new goals
Keeping certain things like a side affair or debts secret from each other is normal, but there are certain surprising things too that are hidden at times. For example, a study done at Columbia University found that a lot of people keep personal goals to themselves and don’t share them with their partners. The reason for this could be that they’re still not sure about them, and hence, are not ready to reveal their plans.

6. The emergency bank account
Don’t feel betrayed if you find out that your partner had a secret bank account which they never told you about. Everyone needs to have some extra cash stacked away for worst scenario like situations. Even you.
7. Your ex
Your partner would have mentioned certain things about their past relationships, but don’t think that they would have told you everything about it. Sometimes there are things which they did during the relationship which they aren’t proud of, and hence won’t talk about it.
8. STIs and more
If it’s been treated, fantastic. If it’s a serious, permanent problem, obviously you should know about it. Don’t feel the need to bring up the topic with them if you had an STI and it’s been cured, that would not be a wise thing to do.
Do you disagree with any of these points? Don’t get angry, just let us know in the comments section below and we’ll talk about it.
