Samsung Galaxy S10: 3 unique things people did to make most of punch-hole camera

Samsung's Galaxy S10 series has made headlines for many reasons, but more interestingly for the punch-hole camera design. In the new flagship series, Galaxy S10+ has two punch-hole cameras, while the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e have one punch-hole camera on the front.

As people found ways to embrace the notched display first introduced by Apple on the iPhone X, things got more creative with the punch-hole camera design. Galaxy S10 users have found different and fun ways to play around with the punch-hole camera which may or may not be annoying for some.

Wallpapers

Galaxy S10 users can disguise the punch-hole camera with tailor-made wallpapers. Wallpapers like the Johny 5 can be used to turn the two cameras into the robot's eyes. More wallpaper includes Wall-E, and Minion to hide the punch-hole cameras.

For the single punch-hole camera, there's Star Wars' R2D2 and NASA's Mars Curiosity Rover. Galaxy S10 users can download these wallpapers and set it on their smartphones. Samsung also has many types of wallpaper for the punch-hole cameras.

Energy Ring

First spotted by Android Police, the Energy Ring app creates an LED ring around the Galaxy S10's front camera. Similar to the Energy Bar app, the LED ring can be customised with different colours to indicate the battery status. This app is however applicable only for the Galaxy S10 as it creates a single LED ring.

Hide the punch-hole

Just like one can hide the notch, there's an option to hide the punch-hole cameras as well. If you don't want the punch-hole cameras at all, you can hide them by going to Settings > Display > Full Screen apps. Here, select "Hide front camera" to enable the feature. This will create a black bar along the selfie cameras.
