The NIA has taken over investigations into the March 19 violence and dishonour of the Indian National Flag by Sikh extremists at the Indian High Commission in London. A case has been registered against the suspects under various sections of the IPC and UAPA. The incident has strained relations between India and the UK, with the Modi government seeking strict action against the suspects, including Avtar Singh aka Khanda, whose parents were part of the ISI-sponsored terrorist movement in Punjab.
Probe agency has also summoned politician Manjit Singh GK, who had released an alleged sting tape in which a person purported to be Tytler was claiming to have killed Sikhs
