Cracks emerge on Rampura flyover for third time in a year

The flyover is located just two kilometres ahead of the Kherki Daula toll, in Manesar. It is the third time in the last 10 months that the flyover has developed cracks.

Traffic slows down at altered Bakhtawar Chowk in Gurugram

Motorists travelling on CH Bakhtawar Singh Road from Rajiv Chowk to Bakhtawar Chowk no longer had enough space to make a U-turn at the junction, and had to wait until the traffic signal turned green to do so.

Traffic infrastructure at Bakhtawar and Rajiv Chowk to be revamped

According to Mohammed Imran Raza, additional deputy secretary, and secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), traffic infrastructure at these two junctions will be redesigned to minimise road fatalities by July-end.

Cracks develops again on Rampura flyover

Officials on Thursday blamed the “concrete fracture” to movement of “overloaded vehicles” on the stretch, a reason that was also given last year and had drawn the ire of commuters and experts alike.

Minivan catches fire, hinders traffic flow near Gurugram’s Sirhaul toll

According to Millennium City Expressway Ltd (MCEPL) officials, the concessionaire of the expressway, the driver of the van, which was being used as an ambulance by a private hospital, lost control over the vehicle.

Verma said that a security guard stationed next to a pedestrian subway, less than 30 metres from the spot, informed the MCEPL control room around 10.20am and a rescue vehicle was sent to the spot.(HT Photo)
