DU files police complaint against former students union president Ankiv Baisoya for using ‘forged’ marksheet

The Buddhist Studies department of Delhi University had on November 14 cancelled former DUSU president Ankiv Baisoya’s admission after receiving a confirmation from Tamil Nadu-based Thiruvalluvar University that an undergraduate certificate submitted by Baisoya was “fake”.

Fake degree case: DU official to visit TN university to verify DUSU president Baisoya’s degree

Soon after Ankiv Baisoya’s election as DU students’ union president on September 13, the Congress-affiliated National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) had accused him of submitting a fake degree to get admission in DU’s department of Buddhist Studies. Baisoya has denied the allegation.

Days after he was elected as the DUSU president in September, the Congress’ student wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) alleged Ankiv Baisoya submitted fake documents to get admission in Master’s in Buddhist Studies at Delhi University.

Decision on DUSU president Ankiv Baisoya accused of faking marksheet likely today

The National Students Union of India alleged that newly-elected DUSU president Ankiv Baisoya, who belongs to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, submitted fake documents to get admission to the Master’s in Buddhist Studies programme and had warned the Delhi University that it will approach the court if no action is taken on its complaint by Monday.
