Poll code violation: Cinema hall owner, manager, distribution firm booked in Patiala for running govt ad

The video adverts were said to have been running in the cinema hall without any approval from the Election Commission. As per the FIR, the manager and owner of Prime Cinema in Rajpura have been booked under Sections 188 and 177 of the Indian Panel Code (IPC) while the CEO has been booked under Section 188 of the IPC.

65 complaints of MCC violation, 63 disposed of

The District Administration led by Election Officer Dr Suhas Diwase has taken action on 63 out of 65 complaints of violation of the code of conduct received by the District Control Room in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections

Case registered against RLD gen secy for MCC violation

Upendra received a complaint alleging that mobile phones were distributed among students of the Sanskrit college on March 18, following the declaration of the Lok Sabha election.

RLD’s national general secretary was invited to the function as the chief guest, hence his name was also included in the case. (Sourced)
